What
the statute mean
Your
license has been issued to you as an individual. You may not assign or delegate
work that is covered under your license to any other individual unless that work
is specifically authorized to be delegated under the rules detailed in Chir 10.
Even when the rules permit your work to be delegated, you
must directly supervise anyone doing clinical work on your behalf. That means
that you or another chiropractor must be physically present in the office when
the work is being done. Being available by telephone is not sufficient. You must
be in the building any time delegated work is being performed.
- No
work may be delegated when chiropractors are at lunch outside the office.
- No
work may be delegated when chiropractors have the day off.
- No
work may be delegated when chiropractors are on vacation.
- No
work may be delegated anytime chiropractors are not physically present in the
office.
