Presentation by ACA Executive Vice President

The board spent most of its meeting discussing issues related to the chiropractic profession with Kevin Corcoran the Executive Vice President of the ACA. Mr. Corcoran is relatively new to his position and, in his presentation to the board, stated that he is determined to improve relations between state associations and the ACA. He is also seeking ways for the ACA to be more proactive for the profession. The WCA Board of Directors committed their full support to any national association that takes on projects that benefit Wisconsin chiropractors.

Sales Tax

The board discussed the number of sales tax audits being conducted in chiropractic offices. The results of the audits are not only that the chiropractor has to pay back sales tax; but also, the imposition of penalties and interest that can much higher the sales tax due.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 1:30 p.m.
