Minutes

 

The following are informative minutes of the June 12, 2007 meeting of the WCA Board of Directors. Please note that these minutes may not cover all of the subjects discussed or motions passed by the board. The portion of the minutes dealing with confidential attorney-client communications, personnel issues, legislative strategies, communications with legislators, communications with government employees, political contribution strategies and specific complaints or information about individual practitioners is considered confidential by the board. WCA members may obtain detailed minutes by contacting the WCA office.

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. by WCA President Sherry Walker, DC at the WCa building in Madison. Member absent Rod Lefler, DC.

 

Motion: Moved by Bronston, seconded by Varish to approve the minutes of the May 10, 2007 meeting. Motion carried.

 

Motion: Moved by Bronston, seconded by McMahon to move into executive session. Motion carried.

 

Nutrition

 

The board discussed the possibility of offering specialized education in nutrition beyond the 48 hour program currently being offered.  The membership will be surveyed as to their interest.

 

Cost Study

 

The board was provided with a research study about chiropractic costs in Minnesota for their review.

 

Assembly Health Committee Hearing

 

The board adjourned to the Assembly Health Committee hearing on Needle emg.

 

Motion: Moved by Bronston, seconded by Adams, to move into executive session. Motion carried.

 

CHIEF

 

The staff provided the board with the results of the current CHIEF campaign which resulted in record participation among WCA members.

 

Clinton Health Plan

 

The board was provided with an article summarizing Hillary Clinton’s health plan that includes reliance on “best practices” documents.

 

The meeting was adjourned approximately 3:30 p.m.
