Minutes

The following are informative minutes of the September 30, 2004 meeting of the WCA Board of Directors. Please note that these minutes may not cover all of the subjects discussed or motions passed by the board. The portion of the minutes dealing with confidential attorney-client communications, personnel issues, legislative strategies, communications with legislators, communications with government employees, political contribution strategies and specific complaints or information about individual practitioners is considered confidential by the board. WCA members may obtain detailed minutes by contacting the WCA office.

The meeting was called to order at 9:45 a.m. by WCA President Sherry Walker, DC at the Kalhari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wi. Members absent: Masche.

Dr. Walker and the board accepted, with regret, the resignation of Tom Scherer, DC from the board for personal reasons.

Motion: Moved by McMahon, seconded by Sleight to approve the minutes of the August 5, 2004 meeting. Motion carried.

Moved by Lyne, seconded by Sleight to approve the following:

Motion: Moved by McMahon, seconded by Bronston to prepare an amicus brief in the ACA/Trigon case. Motion failed.

The board moved into executive session to discuss a wide array of political matters.

Motion: Moved by McMahon, seconded by Douglas to distribute the work release form created by LSM to WCA members and to the WCAC if a release can be obtained from LSM and the Alliance. Motion carried.

The board adjourned to the annual meeting at approximately 2:45 p.m.
